Scaredy Frog

The sun was setting as the full moon rose over the horizon to guide my first night tour on the Manchac. Fifteen of the most unique misfits blindly kayaking, in nothing but moonlight and gumption is the best boat experience one could ever have. Sounds of all the creatures enveloped every corner of our eardrums creating a unique sound, while bright red bike type lights reflected from the banks, alerting us of gators and turtles. The biggest blackest owl watched over us as we squeezed through the trees to get a closer look at monsters and fairies. (I’m pretty sure I heard a Rougarou). The water was so smooth. Our hearts were so elated. I cannot wait to go again.
